Statement - Sir Richard Leese

Throughout his time as leader of the City Council, Sir Richard has driven Manchester’s transformation into a global city that more than punches its weight on the international stage. 

Central to that has been his contribution as a MAG board director, supporting bold investment in the group’s expansion, which in turn has delivered wide ranging benefits to Manchester and its residents. 

Sir Richard’s presence and leadership will be missed but everyone at MAG wishes him well for the future.
