With not long to go until Valentine’s Day it’s time to get those thinking caps on and plan something romantic for your special someone. We’ve put together a guide on the ultimate romantic destinations available from Manchester Airport because is there anything more special than a romantic getaway for two?

Verona

“In fair Verona where we lay our scene…”

The home of Romeo and Juliet is the ideal place for a romantic mini break. Take a stroll through the medieval old town, indulge in heavenly Gelato (Gelateria La Romana is a must-try) and walk up to Castel San Pietro for incredible views across the city.

If you stay for an extra few days, take a short bus or train ride to Lake Garda. Sirmione is a beautiful town to explore before getting lunch with a view over crystal clear waters. We promise serious brownie points from your significant other.

Santorini
