Last-minute gift shopping at Manchester Airport

If you’re jetting off this Christmas and have not managed to squeeze in your Christmas shopping, do not worry.

If you’re flying through Manchester Airport then its three terminals have dozens of deals and hundreds of products to suit everyone on your Christmas list.

With a total of 30 stores across its three terminals ranging from luxury goods, to clothing to beauty and fragrance, you can travel happy knowing the perfect present is waiting for you before you fly off this festive season.

A spokesman for Manchester Airport said: “Although we’d all like to think of ourselves as well-prepared, the truth is there’s a reason why the last Saturday before Christmas is the busiest shopping day of the year in the UK.*

“Buying gifts at the last minute isn’t necessarily a bad idea, however, if you know where to look. If you’re flying abroad this year, waiting until you arrive at Manchester Airport could open the doors to some substantial Christmas savings.

“It’s not just our Biza Tax & Duty Free stores that offer tax-free products; a number of our other retailers do, with savings of up to 20 per cent on high street prices as a result. Many of our operators also have seasonal offers available, reducing prices further.

“We’ve got a huge variety of products on offer across our three terminals, from clothing and jewellery to toys and electronics, so last-minute shoppers don’t have to make compromises on selection or price.

“The most important piece of advice we’d offer passengers this Christmas is don’t bring any wrapped presents through security. There’s a risk that security personnel will need to unwrap them to see what’s inside.”

Manchester Airport suggests passengers either wait until they reach their destination and do their wrapping then, or take advantage of the wrapping options available airside. If you’re flying through Terminal One, Paperchase can wrap your gift for you from just £2. Alternatively, Biza Tax & Duty Free is offering free gift wrapping on products purchased in store this festive season, across all three terminals.
