Manchester Airport is giving the people of Birmingham the chance to win a luxury holiday as it opens up its first ever pop up shop in the Great Western Arcade.

Situated in the Great Western Arcade the shop opens on Wednesday 14th June and will house interactive travel themed games where shoppers can also win a host of spot prizes.

The pop up shop is coming to Birmingham to showcase a wealth of Manchester Airport’s USA routes, which currently in the UK can only also be found at London airports. These include: San Francisco, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Houston.

The shop aims to inform passengers about how much easier it is to fly direct from Manchester, rather than travelling south to the busy and congested London airports.

Patrick Alexander, Head of Marketing at Manchester Airport, said: “We have a whole host of long haul routes that currently passengers can either only go from London airports or from Manchester. By coming to Birmingham with our very first pop up shop means we can educate and show the people of the Midlands how easy Manchester Airport is, as an alternative of getting to, and across the capital, to reach far flung destinations.”

As well as the luxury £1,500 holiday, shoppers can also get their hands on daily spot prizes which include a Kindle Fire, Go-pro camera, Samsonite luggage and much more

The team will also have sets of virtual reality goggles on hand where shoppers can see the future of Manchester Airport with a glimpse of how its 10 year, £1 billion transformation will look.

The shop will be open daily during the following times at the Great Western Arcade:

Wednesday 14th – Saturday 17th June: 8:30am – 6.00pm

Sunday 18th June: 11.00am -5.00pm

Manchester Airport with more than 26.8m passengers has 210 destinations served by 70 plus airlines. Its catchment area spans as far north as Scotland, south to the West Midlands, east across Yorkshire and west to North Wales and Merseyside.
